David has been nominated for a Screen Actors Guild Award for his work on Californication.

SAG Award nominations are decided by about 4,000 randomly selected members of the actors’ union. The full membership is allowed to vote on the winners.
The 15th annual SAG Awards are scheduled to air on January 25 on TNT and TBS.

I never really was a strong fan of David’s before. I didn’t dislike him, by any means, I just recognized his talent & left it at that. When he started Californication I was absolutely stunned at how funny his character was. I was in awe of how he went through the dialogue; so much, so quick,& with such skillful range!!The material is well written, clever,& fresh, but its David’s clever development of the character that creates someone we can’t tear our eyes away from. As the episodes went on, my appreciation & amazement grew. His spectacular job was too freaking’ funny for words; he’d cause my eyes to tear from the intensity of the humor each time I watched. When the season ended, I honestly felt sad. I realized that I had become a TRUE David-FAN.I began this comment, not out of disrespect to David, but to emphasize how his superb talent won me over. I hope that he can know how truly shocked & let down I am that Alec Baldwin was chosen at the G.G.’s tonight, over David’s MUCH more enjoyable performances. If you ever know of this comment, David, PLEASE know that this audience member desires for you to keep up the adept job you been doing, because you make this FAN happy AND because, just like your son, I want YOU to be happy too (I know tonight you said you are, regardless,…so kudos!).I can’t wait for next year’s season AND the G.G. Awards, where I plan to cheer on your well deserved victory. I know you’ll kick f-ing ASS! “Til then, please keep on giving this FAN what she now CRAVES!
